Badger hole meets landboard.

The town decided to throw in a new school on the only open spot that was big enough to kite with minimal wind shadows. I got brave and tried out a field just out of town. Winds S27km/h, flying the scorpion. It was baled two weeks ago, and already the grass was a foot deep. I pointed the nose straight downwind and away I went. I definitely wasn't going real fast, but I was able to hold a line no problem. Made two passes and thought I found my new spot. The farmer still had 6' round bales all over, I thought to drive downwind and pass the front of one. I caught a gopher hole which sent me off balance, but I recovered. Soon after I passed the bale, and plowed right into a very large badger hole. Nose first, then me face first in the grass. I got dragged with one foot caught in a footstrap for maybe 10meters. When I got up my ankle was a bit sore, but I was able to ride back and pack up. Came back to town, and grabbed a coffee. I checked my ankle, and it felt okay, so I went and bombed a local hill for a bit. Half hour in I rolled into another gopher hole and tumbled down the hill. Decided it just wasn't my day and went home. Tonight all I can think is this video:smilegrin:.....

Are you sure it was a badger hole? They tend to be fairly large and their burrow holes should be fairly easy to spot.

Now, gophers holes tends to be a bit harder to spot. And yes, there's appropriate video for that too.

Glad the injuries weren't worse.

Sam

 haven't seen caddyshack in a long time. Yep it was definitely a badger hole, my entire front truck and wheels almost fit in it. I was paying attention to the kite when I ran into it.:duh: I guess that's what I get for having my head in the clouds:yes:
