Medical insurance for Canadian compadres
What insurance do you Canadian guys have for visiting the US, lets say you get hurt in your buggy. Is there any specific company that will cover the
medical side
Thanks

I get mine covered by the wife's benefits now but in my premarital days I'd always just get it from RBC - seemed best and most comprehensive. AMA has
a good offering too.

whatever medical coverage you get, keep in mind you may have to pay up front (credit card charge) and then go through insurance when you get home.
Most banks offer a medical/travel insurance and also some credit cards come with 8 days of medical trip coverage.
When Dave broke his collarbone at NABX he had insurance coming from canada but the Vegas hospital just charged him around $2,300.00 to go in and have
it x rayed etc and he had to deal with it when he got home

There were no specific exclusions no, but that was a while ago. Kiting is pretty unknown in North America yet. You'd definitely do well to read the
fine print but I think you'd be covered.

I also get coverage from RBC....Just got it today and for the time I'll be down there, it was only $20.00
I also have full coverage through my work.
I don't plan on having any OBE's but maybe a CBE or 2;-)
Just remember...it is an extreme sport and its not considered extreme untill the bone breaks the skin...lol
Cheers
