I actually do have some weekends coming up that I'll be a bachelor and we could host something. Everyone notice that Goof's dates are Monday thru Friday, coinciding with his work trip! The real fun is going to be on Saturday I bet!

Make sure you let everyone know at the park. I work 4-6 but will come out to camp after that...weather permitting. If its still to hot it will just be in the afternoon. Maybe camping at lake mojave and driving to ivanpah straight from the lake.

At FBBT, there was some discussion about the need for an Oct. playa event. After a U2U with Bob, I was ready to throw in with this deal and commit to playing sherpa/night watchdog for a few days out on the playa. Turns of my other addiction (dirt circle track racing) is now scheduled right over top of it Saturday night. I tried this scenario at FBBT and it was a real buzz kill so I'm gonna have to bow out this time around.

I'm gonna have to build and learn to fly an "X model" rotary wing so I can commute back and forth.

The 8th is out for me that is me baby's 7th brithday .sorry

I am so stoked....... flight leaves tomorrow...... all packed and ready to go!!!

I just realized I didn't get a renewed permit from BLM. My current one expired yesterday like everyone elses. I'll have to ping Elaine tomorrow and see. There are 3 other lakes that are even closer if I can't get clearance. Yes, BBQ tonight on G00f and beer on me.

My new permit came in the mail, on its own last week. I did nothing but call and request one for last year. Auto renewal?? Elaine works for the BLM.

The one that just expired was automatically sent. I asked about renewal in a site report I sent in but forgot about it and didn't get a response. BBQ and face to face with G00fball was awesome last night! Hoping to fly in the 15mph winds this afternoon.

Just spoke with Elaine and got my new permit sorted out. Apparently there has been a few issues with renewal permits and she is having trouble contacting people. I failed to fill out the site visit use report that helps her keep us up to date for contact info and such. She wold love have current email address for all who use the Playa so she could email site conditions and closure notices out to us.

Her email addy is edowning@blm.gov or you can call and verbally give her your info at 760-326-7000.

I called her this morning too. She is helpful and courteous as always. I've told her so every time I've spoken to her as well. It's like she exists to help us out, not limit and control us. I had not updated my address with her and she didn't see where I mentioned it in a use report I turned in. She has all my info updated now, and sent me an email to print for clearance till my real permit makes it here in the mail. All sorted now.

Please don't dirty up that pretty venom 8M.

This weekend is setting up to have me on a dry lakebed. Ivanpah if these rains don't soften it up.

I am going to be out this Friday and Saturday if the weather cooperates. Looks fairly good thus far from the forecasts. See ya there Bobby!

Might be there, but there is a big show in town that called for a jib. Hope to be at Ivanpah but if all goes well with negotiations I will be working. This is one client I can't turn down!

I'm still wide open on Saturday and the moon is getting bright, so we'll stay late if the wind keeps blowing.
