buggy on hard packed snow

I saw a few pics in doomwheels of a buggy on hard pack snow. Does anyone here any comments on it. The pic I saw had pretty smooth tires. It would seem like you would need knobbies to prevent spinout, but apparently not.

Thanks,
Dave

This was someone goofing around at the Winter Tour stop in Silvaplana Switzerland 2004 in the morning hours before the event. The snow was hard packed with some fluff on top. The tires were just normal smoothies and the wind was light. He buggied around for about an hour in the area close to camp where the snow was the hardest.

I brought my kiteskates this year to do the same, but the snow is too deep. In fact I'm writing this from Silvaplana waiting for the pass to open so we can go home. This year's event went very well although it snowed the entire time. We completed the freestyle event and 7 races. :D
