Stuck Zipper...... Ouch!!!


I am sure someone will answer this quickly.....

how do you get a zipper on a kite that is stuck solid to free up???

I picked up a couple of Venoms cheap a few months ago. All the zippers were stuck, really stuck. All I did was soak them in very hot water and, poof, I was able to work them loose and clean them up good as new. I used a small brush to clean the gunk off.

Others recommend some lubricants but I never needed to do that. There is another thread on this topic. Let me see if I can find it.

What he said. I used the tiniest amount of WD-40 before washing too, but it was probably unnecessary. After it's working, use some SailKote on them :thumbup:

hey thanks all.... thanson2001oS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s hot water did the trick..... soaked the stuck zipper in hot water for about 20 minutes..... and now it works like a champ....
