what have we got here?

Please someone who knows about more than a Stylus P3 explain to me what Im looking at!

I see:
-a control bar with 4 lines (duh)
-a kite killer on the left
-i believe the bottom chuck of spectra once went through the middle of the control bar but I can't guess what the pvc ball, swivel, and velcro are all about
-you got me on the chunk of spectra in the middle. So it has a method of forming a crucial larkshead on the bar, its got an emergency release mechanism, but wtf is it for? Its labelled Ozone if that helps

Added via edit:

Mucho gracias for any and all help.

Kites are so. cool.--the future! Haha!

Pics?

Im visual, show me, ill explain it lol

I would guess, the velcro/swivel is a complete disconnect, and the killer grabs a trailing edge line and flags the kite out......... Just guessing tho, as im not familiar with the kite

For further clarification:

That ring is NOT attached to the mysterious item.

I suppose that ring and the additional pvc ball are used when attaching the kite killer as per the instruction book.

This is what the current Ozone 4 Line FB Control Bar Looks like:

The prior version didn't have the Megatron Chicken Loop, it had a "D-Loop" with a quick-release.

The "D-Loop" was secured to the bar with dyneema (spectra) and velcro. The wrist-safety leash (kite killer) was attached to the center strap that tripped the brakes when you let go of the bar.

Above is a picture of the control bar with everything assembled.

ATB,
Sam

P.S. It looks like some parts of your control bar were sourced outside of Ozone/OEM.
