I didn't know the elf had gone up to 19m I thought it was just 16m. I have heard they are great. I suppose with the speed 21m the elf would have to get bigger too. I thought about asking at SOBB if anyone had ever flown one but kept forgetting.

Great googly moogly.... that thing is a razor blade.

No stock on hand... only built to order.

Couldn't find any specs on the 19M, but here are the specs on the others:

If I read the cell count correctly, that's pretty insane.

Area: 13m
Number of sections (cells?): 63
Elongation (A/R?): 7.3
Wind Range: 3-10 m/s (6.71 mph-22.4mph)
Price: 1700 EUR / 2,310.15 USD

Area: 16m
Number of sections (cells?): 63
Elongation (A/R?): 7.4
Wind Range: 2-9 m/s (4.47 mph-20.1mph)
Price: 1900 EUR / 2,581.54 USD

looks quite nice... i was thinking about this the other day. I would think it would work better on long courses then on short tacks. I would also imagine you'd have to set this up not as a traditional depower so that it could be better tines while on the course.

It is easy, just write to Elf in St. Petersburg (elfkite@mail.ru). You might want to put your request in both Russian and English. Like Sky Country, elf kites are made to order. Expect to wait for your kite and they probably will want money up front. Shipping will be a major pain in the ... and costly.
S
p.s. When you finally get your kite, you are probably going to be damned glad you took the chance on something fairly expensive that you knew very little about. Elf are very highly thought of in Russia.

Is it possible to design for strength, if the designer doesn't really understand what strength is?
