Kober and I had a nice chill session today at a new beach after blowing the dust off the buggies. Miles of beach with semi-packed sand above tideline.
Bigfoots were the prefered tread.
A drizzle here and there. A few fisherman, beach walkers, and campers. Good to see the summer crowds GONE!
Winds were 10-12 mph onshore. 11m Gin Eskimo here and Kober's first flight on the 13m Gin Yeti.
Island Beach State Park with 10 miles of sandy beach available off season for kite bugging .... In summer time you can use 3 miles of beach at the
end of park .....
east wind is perfect and low tide give you ~ 20' of hard pack
You can drive car on beach with permit ....... horses and sand buggies are also allowed in one section .......
Last month my client cancel job in last minute ..... so I have day off that I decide to use for finding new kiting spot ..... I get in to a car
with my iPad and Google Earth and drive from place to place ... finally arriving at Island Beach ........ and that was a jackpot ....... in main
office ... park manager give me all info and assure me that power kites and buggies are allowed .....
That was first session at that beach and it is my place to go when East wind blows .......
@martiniPro ..... we be happy to have another pal to go with us on our kite sessions ..... U2U me or Jaymz ......
@cheezy ..... You can definitely try to meet us there next time east wind blows ........
