Came home to this

Got home from work to find this waiting for me at the door. Not the board I was originally going for, but it's gonna work perfectly none the less. Its gonna be my primary downhill ride, but I'm still hung on the idea of drilling it out and mounting a handle. I thought it would have had mounting inserts, but it doesn't. The handle just becomes so useful while kiting.

I was trying to get my hands on a Tom Kirkman Pro 100. Seems that every shop I called were sold out of them, but many of them had this Jereme Leafe Pro 95. Shipping seems to be quite high if you special order just one board, and I didn't feel like waiting till shops made Christmas orders to avoid the shipping cost. Tony at Epyx Mountainboards out of Calgary came through for me and I ordered this from him and only had to pay $30 for shipping to Lloyd (only 5 hours away) he even through in a T-shirt. At the same time I bought a handle from him. I'm gonna try a couple sessions without the handle to decide if I actually need the handle or not. I have my pro 90 reserved for kiting only now anyway.

I too love3 the yellow wheels. My Pro90 has them as well with red twistar fronts and white twistar backs. I got to go for a short ride this evening with my 6m access. Its gonna take a bit to get use to having a lot of board under my feet. At first my trucks were too tight, at slow speed I couldn't steer. Once riding, I found myself quite clumsy, losing balance quite a bit. I think it was all a part of low winds, and being use to a smaller board. I might have to measure for sure, but I found the stance felt wider as well. Tomorrow night I'll give it a session downhill to fine tune my steering, and adjust my stance. I can see myself really liking the big board when the winds are big. In lighter winds the Pro90 feels more manageable under my feet. Again it will more than likely just take me some time to get adjusted to the bigger board.
