being ready

Still as excited as ever for my first buggy event. I have been reading many posts and I am just a little concerned.
I have read that the tides are not going to be right.. Does this mean my standard flexifoil buggy with smaller tires isn't going to work? Are there certain items I should be purchasing to be more ready. (ex. extra lines, tubes, etc) I don't want to be watching others having fun and kicking myself in the ass for not having something. Thanks again and I can't wait to meet some people that KNOW this sport.

Get up early,no sleepin in. There are areas that are hard enough to ride on w/ barrows,I've done it .You will be fine. There will be several Kite shop Reps there . I'm sure they will have some stuff. You will not be watching others have fun. There will demo stuff as always.

Here is a vid I made the last ride on WW this spring, the weather was crappy, but the wind was nukin'. http://www.vimeo.com/26355862

I will have a couple extra line sets tubes and tires with me. As well as some demo kites. Someone will have something if you need it. Just ask and you will get pointed in the right direction.

What about shoes/clothes/gear as far as dealing with the weather and the sandy beach?

Thanks...Great shot of the buried kite. I will not be wearing flip flops, especially with white tube socks. Thanks for the info on reps being there etc. I promise to get up early but cant do the same on the hanging out and having a couple beers. Do people bring surf boards for something else to do in case you can't buggy? People play any instruments at night? What is the night life like?
Buggy is all set and I power washed the cow/sheep poop all off it so no one will pick on me for that at least.

I always wear skate type shoes! Best for stopping without catching anything. I also wear military cargo pants or motocross pants. I also bring at least a pair of thermals just in case. Then usually a tshirt s/s or l/s and a hoodie work on the beach during the day. A light windbreaker may work a little nicer once the sun goes down and the endless hang out session on the deck. A little beanie may be in order, the cold air at night time may make some heads chilly! Bring one pair of shoes for the beach and another to hang out in.

As far as night life, most just hang out at the hotel. There is a second story Concrete deck with a round table as well as the buggy parking area that is just underneath. There are three gas grills right there anyone can use. (just clean up after yourself). We just sit around and talk and laugh and drink some beers. The days sessions are usually the topic. Traveler will be there as well as Adam for some after hours tips on kiting techniques for land boarding and kitesurfing. Great stories all night long! You will not get bored!
