Best choice for light wind buggy kite one step above 5m Flow?

This is the type of wind I was flying in today from 11am to 6pm:

http://tinypic.com/r/wlf2np/7

My 5m Flow was marginal in those low and light winds. I needed something just one step bigger.

Here is the wind range on the 5m:

http://downloads.flyozone.com/landkites/downloads/windchart_...

What would be a good light wind kite that's bigger then 5m?

I would suggest either a 6 or 8 m f/b like a PL Viper or ReactorII . I would not make the leap to a full on race kite. Just my opinion.

Considering a 6.7m PL Core, 6.9m PL Reactor II, or a 6.5 Ozone Method. Need it for the best lighter wind performance when a 5m Flow just isn't getting me moving. Also open to other kites/sizes. A 6.8m PL Viper S?

So many choices. If one was able to fly them all in the same 8-15mph session; would there be one clear winner?

I would take a guess and say the winner would be the Reactor II. Followed by the Core. The Method is not particularly powerful for it's size but I really like it cos it's so easy to fly and forgiving. And for me, it's fast enough.

Mind you, at the top end, at 15mph, you might be going a little sideways with the Reactor and the Method would cruise past. I flew the Method next to a 6.8m Yak GT which left me for dead below 10 knots but once the wind started to hit 12 knots, the tables were turned as the Yak had too much power for the buggy to hold a straight line.

6.5 Method would fit in perfectly with your Flow's. We've got em in stock. We also have the Reactor II and Vapors in stock as well if you decide to go that route.

Personally, I would go for really close to a 7.0 meter to get enough power difference from the 5.0meter.

If you go with a smaller kite, you WILL be looking for more when the wind does go under 10...

10 - 15 isn't terrible for a 5. Look for 8 - 15 in one kite and you have a 5 for 14 - 20+ depending on the surface and if you have smooth wind or lumpy wind.

I picked up that 6.9 Reactor deal from Mike. I'll see if that size solves my light wind needs.

Don't forget - if you have enough room, 30m lines will add a few knots to your useable bottom end. Won't make any difference once you're up to speed, but having the longer power stroke makes a big difference when you are trying to build some speed.
