I am general contractor ..... and if that would be possible for me to do it without loosing jobs .... I would do it .......
Problem is ....... because economy is not that well right now I am lowering prices just to keep busy and pay my bills..... and non of my clients
want to hear words like "extra charge" or " we waiting for materials " ...... and I think there is not that many people who is willing to pay extra
and have project delayed just to create job for someone that they don't know ........

For the life of all of us I just wish the GD media would shut thier pie holes around some pie and stop scaring people on the economy. I have whatched
the consumer doing thier part buying and the big Companies holding back which is causing the whole economy to stall again. I have seen overwhelming
demand for products in the Mfg and heavy equipment sectors, but the companies that produce the parts to keep those sectors operating are farting
around worried about the next economic downturn and not hiring/inceasing production. And THEY are causing it from not spooling up and responding to
demand, so people buy what they can elsewhere. Those Co's lose $$ refuse to hire and it is a vicious cycle..

lamrith your so right.. im from central Cali and construction has picked up big time .. tons of new jobs here but the media wants everyone to think
that were all screwed ... its not like it was five years ago but its busy im in the concrete end of construction .

I am in hydraulics, supporting the Construction and mining Excavator market. We nearly went out of business 5 yrs ago, cut staff by over 1/2. The
last year has been like pre bust, and we all get pretty pissed when we hear the media spouting imminent doom :-p
