Buggy without the kite


Is anyone here old enough to remember these? This isn't me in the clip, just a radome YT clip, but I DID have one of these as a kid. Sort of for people who couldn't make up their mind whether they wanted a dirt bike or a dune buggy.

The stuff we built was a lot more sketchy than that but it worked... for a while... until we got confident enough to break out "the ramp"...

That's one if the ironies of these contraptions. They were called "dune" cycles but they had no shock absorbers so they were pretty rough on any kind of terrains other than pavement or very smooth hard packed dirt. Still, there were a lot of fun.
