*Video* Kitehero fin mount

Here is a video using the Kitehero Gopro fin mount

It was my first time using it and I got a SOS message after the first video and it did not record any more. I think the SD card got dislodged or something. The fin mount positions the camera vertically so the card is pointed down on the bottom. Just cruising around in this portion. Too bad because I was getting some good air with the 12M in 20mph wind.

Yeah, I got 15 minutes out of mine and the same happened :( I recovered the file with the python script thingy ... got a few interesting jumps captured, and I'll work them into the video at some point ...

Looks familiar :D rider seems to bobble around on a rock-steady board like an old wino
I guess the King is pretty stiff ...? you should see the Flyradical flex :o

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

With the lay's potato chip like concave and rocker it is super stiff.
I need to add some dance music for the drunken sailor on the board effect. I have a habit of using my arm as a counterbalance since I started buggying with the Peter Lynn ST. There is not much side rail to keep me in the seat so I always hang on to one rail and steer the kite with the other.

I tried the suction cup mount tethered to the board but the water kept pushing the camera out of position. I should have replaced the batteries too cause they died after about 2 minutes. I think the fin mount looks like it works better.

Helps if you keep the camera out of the water  teasing ...

Yup. And the new one is bulletproof ... although maybe too solidly mounted - I'm thinking of putting some thin, shock-absorbing adhesive backed foam under the base and see if that resolves issues ...

After I tried the suction cup mount I looked at the fin mount. I like how the video turned out with the fin mount. I will have to work more on keeping it out of the water. I think I need one and a line mount. Oh and a second gopro too. :P

AD - Nice job on the Toe side leg man, not easy or comfortable with kite pulling that way and an arm almost behind you!

Thanks. It took me a while to get used to. My forward knee was sore the first few times but no longer bothers me. It is a shoulder workout as well. Next I need to learn to jump toeside and jump transition to toeside. Then try blindside. Mako King in mutant mode makes toeside a lot easier.
