I've made landing lines for depower kites that haven't come with them and always position them so they hang below the lines flying lines.
My Yeti's both came with them positioned so that they hang on top of the lines. I thought that was a mistake so I undid them and remounted them below
the lines in order to keep them out of the trimmer and make the trimmer easy to reach without anything in the way.
While its easier to reach when positioned above the lines if you needed to pull it in an emergency, I find that its cleaner below the lines and when
below the lines I can remain hooked in, land the kite and hook the landing line into my spreader bar to anchor the kite to me while I"m standing
around.
Am I the only one who prefers the landing lines below the lines or is Gin onto something that I"m just missing :puzzled:
