No problem I went out there yesterday with 30 mph gusts and reached speeds of about 50 mph. Which isn't bad for a PL xr plus and a 2m ozone samurai

The forecast isn't showing alot of wind but its usually more than what it's predicted to be

I went out yesterday for the afternoon till dark. Ran the 10 Syn for about 10 miles but was never well powered. Traded it in for the 12 Phanny and was better powered with it but no speed records. Never got much above 35 mph. Put in about 30 miles though. Wind shuts down at sundown every time I'm out there. Lol. There were a couple locals there that I had met at the Friday night fly ins. They were on their landsailers.

I've got some free time today as well. It's a good chance I can make it.

Awesome light wind day today. It's much more fun to have others to chase around. Some locals named Marty and Mike were there all weekend and Itchycrotch and DonaldGould were with us today. I flew my 5.5 RII and decided not to sell it. It is so stable and yet fast. I don't feel like I have to keep my eye on it at all. Wexler flew the 9.5 Montana VI and he was better powered than I was. I never could pull up on him unless he let me. It was the right kite for him today and I launched the RII instead of an arc. The 12m Phanny might have been the better ticket for me today. Jared flew the 3m HQ Toxic and he showed enough kite skills today for me to bump him to depower next outing. Wind permitting, I'll put him on one of the Apexxes next time. Onward and upward. The learning curve continues.

Just want to thank everyone for making this weekend a lot of fun. Bob hope u show up for the next one and bring the boys they both are nice guys and did a great job buggying and i'll make sure my son is with me for the next run.

Things are looking up for me and the boys to get to Ivanpah on Sunday the 22nd. I try to make a day of it when we go so would be there late am and stay till dark. Little or no moon this weekend so not hopeful for night riding. Wind seems to go with the sun anyway. Anyone up for some riding? It's more fun when you are chasing and being chased. :smug:
