I edited my comment.. I just spoke with him on phone and looks like we have the deal done. I should have a paypal invoice shortly. He did stay with the advertised amount.

He said that he has been hammered with over 30 email since this post was put up. people must know a way to get his email addy without using the ikitesurf form, so not only 4 of us responded..

He is actually a pretty nice guy now that I spoke with him.

I think this is the same one I tried to pickup here on a local forum for sale thread for $50. I messaged him minutes after his post early in the morning and he came back with some BS about many people in front of me with dibs. I think he realized he was letting go too cheap.

I was the first guy..I sent him a message 3 days ago..

Bigbear - I do appreciate the warning. I am sure when I roll this monster out the 1st few times I will get a hefty case of the puckers!

Thankfully I have a couple things going for me, winds are traditionally weak here, 5mph typically, occaisional 10mph days and a rare few 10-20. I have a few smaller FB rigs for those high wind days.

AND my buddy Ken has a Pulse 7m on it's way already so I can try depower on a much smaller rig 1st THANKS BLADE!!:Ange09:

Hrmm.. Seems we have a kite race on already.. I live in WA, the Pulse was shipped Tues via USPS, from a location in Canada 5hrs drive away. The Venom shipped yesterday from UT via UPS Ground.. Which will I see 1st?:dunno:

Customs takes 3 to 5 days, my money is on Utah.:evil:

Lamrith - I recommend getting a pre-inflator. Either build one from a PC fan and tubing or get a battery powered leaf blower. It will decrease your frustration trying to get the monster to fly. Completely inflate the beast and you won't have to deal with bow tie and botched launches at low wind causing line tangles.

Bigkid - yeah me too! I found it funny that it left Vancouver and went.. TO San fransisco!? It will have traveled probably 6x the distance required when it gets here.. I can only assum SF is the regional customs hub for USPS?

I had a good deal selling on iktesurf on a 7m Speed with a straight up local buyer but Spam offers followed for years after.

Now you need to use your powers from the " arc side " to convince the wife this was 1/2 as good a deal as we all know it was !

Yup, it's interesting to track parcels .... bought a helmet, gloves, knee and elbow pads from a place in Cailfornia... package went to San Francisco to Nashville to Toronto to Winnipeg to Vancouver to Prince George and then Houston.... not bad though .... 6 days from paypal to delivery

Well the Canadian USPS shipment won! Just landed on my desk.. Always funny.. 8:00am this am the last status shown is SF on 25th..

Then now that it is inhand, it shows a hit here locally @6am:wee: :-p

This kite is NOT R2F as the seller represented. I asked him specifically when I emailed him does it need repair, is it R2F. Due to the low price, I am really torn on challenging him on it or not. If it had been as represented I would have gotten an INSANE deal as attested by the 30 people the emailed after I did. At the same time, I have a kite that I DO need to spend money on before I can ever fly it... I would really like opninions/thoughts from you experienced guys. You can U2U if you would rather make comments privately.

So I went to a local elementary school on the way home and opened it all up fully.

Issue #1: Some people may have seen my other thread about chicken loop. This kite did not come with one at all, I assumed that when a kite is listed as complete, kite, bar, lines that it will include a chicken loop. I further asked the seller on the phone "So this kite is ready to fly?" and got a yes reply.. Ready to fly imho means ready to connect to a harness and go...






Issue #2: kite feels nice and crisp when I unrolled it, some minor sand dirt, but I was very happy with it. Colors are vibrant. Top side looks good, no issues I can see, no visible repairs. I flipped it over and gave the bottom a once over.. almost immediately I found a failed seam/tear/rip. Talk about bummed. It is not very big, but the thread has failed and is coming out of the kite and right in the middle of that there is a hole.


I really want to hear everytones thougths on this.. Been a bit disheartening to open new toys and find they are "busted" so you can't play with them.. of course the wind was gusting as soon as I had the kite layed full out.. totally could have flown if not for the high tension main power lines right over me...
