Reds here in the U.S. this guy is known for selling knockoffs on eBay. He has several user names on eBay and has been the topic of several booming threads on pkf. Do a pkf search for jonesband in topics and you will see the various threads.

Checked out the site. Shows kites and an "add to cart" selection but I couldn't find ANY way to select a size although the descripti0on shows sizes the kites come in. The descriptions are pretty much from the manufacturer's site. Seems like an uniformed person would buy a kite not knowing what size they're getting. And that Glidemaster is a knock off of a Cloud 9 Kite Trike-- while not a bad beginner buggy, ---you can can pick one up for $299 shipped from Cloud 9.

Looks like he is even dabbling in the Rev market as well.

I came across him listing Peter Lynn buggies for sale on ebay as well with the typical story -
"I have a Peter Lynn Competition XR buggy for sale. I bought it on Amazon new but never had the chance to ride it and now need the money"

Yea, I looked at his other things for sale and low and behold he has another "New" "USA Model" (WTF that means... ) buggy that is linked to the Extreme web page...

Also nature has a way of telling you to avoid something harmful like porcupines are sharp, skunks stink and this guy has a disclaimer in all his advertising that says this: " Please avoid leaving negative feedback so all future warranty claims or refunds can be processed quickly."

Yeah seriously- before I found PKF I saw an auction on eBay from this guy and I was thinking about it until I saw that disclaimer. Obviously not someone you'd want to deal with!

On a Ebay side note... Has anyone ever complete an auction, paid via Paypal and had the auction listing vanish from your "My Ebay" page?

I completed this auction Buy it now last week. I paid within hours, got email from the seller that it was paid. The listing was still available and the seller updated the unit to shipped and a tracking number yesterday (10/30). I went to look at the tracking today and the entire listing is GONE, it does not show in my ebay, and the listing # is marked invalid? And now the seller is listed as "no longer registered". But yet as I was researching peopel were still leaving feedback for them (all positive).

I am just baffled. all my years of ebaying I have never seen or heard of this? I KNOW I was on ebay site. I always hand type the url to ebay and search from there..

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the Ozone Flows for $449. First thing i thought was what size and color. although from most retailers the 5m is only about 410 maybe.

I will give him props for the professional looking site. It may not be legit but he is at least having to put effort into his ripping off.

Ouch Lamrith, sounds like you may have been taken for a ride. Give it a week or so and then make a claim on ebay. email them your transaction number and see what they can do for you. I have been fortunate to not have any issues like that before. Hope it resolves itself quickly!

I went in via dispute resolution on ebay, ebay had record of the auction there, and 2 steps in showed it as shipped with tracking number (Which is what I was looking for when I found the issue) .

I have tracked and the number is valid and in the shipping Co's system, so all should be ok..

It's the same guy ... that's the same address he's had all these years.

I find the easiest way to know it's him is to look at his other items. He always has a bunch of odd and ends type stuff with a few kite and buggy stuff included. Can spot him from a mile away!

I have contacted this guy several times by phone and email.

First he will not return my calls because I asked him nicely to remove PL from his site. He gave me some lame excuse by email how if someone wanted to buy a PL kite he could get one for from a distributor. I responded that this was not possible as there is only myself and PL direct that supplies to authorized dealers in canada and USA.

He doesn't get it that I just want the images removed.

In his last reply to me (forward to Dino for a laugh) was that he would remove any products from his website if quote "my friends" on PKF would stop bashing his business.

I must dig up the email again and post it here.
