Texas Tech?

College applications have been sent (kind of explains my lack of presence on the forum lately), and among a few other other places, I was accepted into Texas Tech. I've seen the school and stayed in Lubbock, and it's really not bad. In fact, I like it quite a lot. One of the… side benefits, if you will… of going to school in West Texas, is that it is surrounded by hundreds of miles in all directions of absolutely nothing. For most [normal] people, this is a turn off. But not for me! For obvious reasons, I think it's pretty cool. Anyone who has been in West Texas or driven down Hwy 84 knows what it's like. Anyways, I'm super excited, and very optimistic about my educational and "extracurricular" opportunities here. The wind always blows and the horizon is the only limit :)

I really liked A&M, too, for any Aggies on here… but I'm just not a Howdy kinda guy. ;) Too many rules :P

I went to TTU, lived in Sneed. Its an awesome school brother your going to have a blast. I finally graduated from University of Houston.

Live it up man those 4 years go by so fast! Skiing is only 5 hours to your west, plenty of places to snow/land kite.

I don't know how recently you've been to Lubbock, but it's gotten much better. Around the campus it's developed, and there are NICE hotels that are very cheap, condos, shopping malls, bars, restaurants, clubs, palm trees… kind of like an oasis. And the university itself has improved, too. Tighter admission standards, and they're almost done building a BRAND NEW Rawls business admin school that will be ready for me Fall 2012 :D
