When at home/work and see's the trees move from the wind after it hasn't not been windy or not that windy and immediately checks the windspeed and
forecast.
When eating lunch/dinner can only think about getting out and flying.
Packs up a kite at the field good enough to get it home then repacks it nicely once home with it.

I'm I the only one who sulks if there's a Wedding or other family 'get together' that the host has selfishly booked for a Saturday.
Example - This coming Saturday the 5th is my Nephews 2nd birthday party and I have to go. Sulk.
Example - The following Saturday is my brothers engagement party and I have to go. :dunno: Sulk.
And I bet the wind will be nuking on both days. I only have Saturdays and Sundays and Tuesdays to buggy.
I just spent a week of spare time prepping bars and lines and line extentions for my new kites. Last night I drove 20 miles to pick up 6 little "kiss
buttons" from an archery store, little rubber stops that I can clamp on my back lines to stop the bar from sliding too far towards the kite. It took a
good deal of obsessing to come up with that idea!

I am concerned. Used to be I was headed out on the flip of a flag. Now I find myself choosing my days ?
Yesterday I came home to a clean 30mph wind and yet decided to pass. Days are short and not taking time to check all systems in that wind is a
mistake. My local spot has all sorts of downwind obsticles. Hardly an excuse but it was enough to keep me home ?
I passed on a few too low wind days this summer as well?
Nahhhh I think you're just a little jaded BR. I used to see a dead leaf twitch and would kill myself to get out the door not so much these days. I
get a lot of days and I'm starting to pick and choose as well.
The thrill of the new romance might be gone a little? I dunno. I think I've settled into "long term kite relationship mode" a little and I'm
looking for more quality than quantity.

Yeah definitely quality. I have the opportunity to head out this Thursday for some high wind fun 28-33mph on-shore, but it's a heavy work night for me
and I know I will be exhausted by the end of the session and in no fit state to work.
Will have to see.
I'm going to watch 'A Fist Full Of Steel' on YouTube again. If you ever lack the drive to get out in the buggy then watch that video.
never repack, the less the handling the better for the kite.
wife is grateful for the kites! without them it would be double duty for her. DAILY on both! gonna live it instead of dream it or die trying.
but lately! lately i have passed on a few premium days of wind like BR, feyd said "choosing" demonstrates control over addictive tendencies. ...thats
a good thing.
I am still in the addictive tendencies. That is compounded by the fact that the winds here are consistently non existent, so any day there is air
movement I am heading out.. Not even been getting one day a week with enough wind to put the 8m up recently!!:ticking:

I think I'm the only one who moved into a new house and the first thing to move was my kites. We got the keys on a Monday afternoon, decided to start
the move the next night. At 8 that night I was itching to know how my kites would fit in the basement living room for winter drying. I couldn't hold
the suspense, so I packed all my kiting gear up and walked it all through the threshold into their new home. First kite to get unrolled was my 16m
scorpion as its the longest laid out flat on the floor. Sadly it will have to dry in sections.
Now with the choosing days part, I too find myself picking my times wisely. Ever since this past spring when I had the best atb ride of my life flying
my Scorpion in 25mph winds, I've been looking for another day like that. Sadly my only open kiting spot for atb has been taken over by a construction
crew building a new school. Now I wait for snow, where I'll have unlimited amounts of kiting space.

Yeah we were very close, but the wife thankfully decided that she would miss her friends here too much. It looks like a retirement idea now. Besides I
think it might be best to keep a body of water and half a country between you and your in-laws, you can't get tired of each other that way

Great video, for posting it.
By way of thanks....

Shaggs , me being the proud new owner of a Scorpion line up , the thought of a 16m Scorpion in 25mph wind gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I am over 200lbs with all my protective gear and a board under my feet, even more in the winter. The Scorpion surprised me how safe I felt under it in
that much wind. I almost felt safer than under my 10m synergy, more for the fact that the 16m isn't as zippy through the window. The only time I was
scared was when I felt a surge of power push me faster as I was about to slowdown at the edge of my soccer field. But let go of the bar and it tamed
down right now. Words can't even describe the feedback from that kite. The bar throw is exactly like the throttle in a sports car, pull in to go
faster and it does almost instantly.......Very coool experience for sure. Hang on to those Scorpions as they seem to be almost like a hidden long lost
gem, overshadowed by the more popular arcs out there.

Did I tell you guys that I got up at 4am on a Sunday morning to drive to France a few weeks ago? I was on the beach at 10, then had to leave at 4 to
catch my tunnel reservation to go back home. Brought a lunch but didn't eat a thing the whole time I was on the beach because I was too busy having
fun.
Cost me at least $100 but worth every penny. Had to listen to the wife yell at me for 20 minutes about how she "missed her Yoga lesson because all I
care about is my stupid kites...." but still worth it. I'm still grinning every time I think about. Les Hemmes, sunny, offshore, about 15 mph all
day. There must have been 100 buggies there.
