Skyline Utah

Hi All,
Here's a fresh video from last season at Skyline while Chasta and Pascal were staying with the Windzup crew.

I can't wait for the season to start here in Utah!

Looking forward to joining you for some snowkiting this year. Is there enough snow yet?

Not sure you would want to camp at Skyline, but you can stay in the Motel in Fairview which is right at the base of Fairview canyon. It is so totally awesome, you sleep in the Motel for about $30 bucks a night, walk across the street in the morning and get a fabulous home style breakfast at the diner, then hop in your car and drive 20 minutes up the canyon and throw out your gear at Skyline Ridge. Now that's snowboarding at it's best and for a reasonable budget with the luxuries of the rich and famous.

And the best part - after an awesome ride on the best snow on earth, you drive down to Mt. Pleasant which is 10 miles south and hang out all night with Brian and Heather at the Triangle Bar!!! Pool, beer, games and snow boarding friends!!!

BTW, did anyone know that Heather is a 5 time world champion snow boarder? Just thought I'd ask. :)

That was awesome. I've watched enough videos from there now that I recognize features, trees, jumps across the road.

Looks like only a 6 hour drive from Vegas. I might have to give this a try this winter.

You can camp up there. We did last year. Just be prepared for the snow. Snow camping is a lot different than your average camping. I would suggest a tarp for under the tent and towels for any snow that gets in. And atleast a -20 sleeping bag is a must!

Whether you camp or go back in town no trip is complete without meeting up with Windzup at the triangle bar.

Samm, Skyline is awesome but at nearly 10.000 feet will be cold camping. Here is a web cam on SR 31 near the Bosco's Hill parking lot.

awindofchange is right on - I stayed at the Fairview Motel and got the snowkiter's discount rate. Laid out my kite on the grass to dry in front of the motel before heading to NABX. The Home Plate Cafe serves large home cooked meals.

Enjoy.
