Matrixx vs. Charger
Hey all,
I'm sure some of you have seen some of my previous posts, and thanks again for answering them. Sorry for a similar question I posted before between
the Neo 2, Matrixx and Charger. I'm down to choosing between the Matrixx or Charger. I'm new to kiting, so I'm not sure if that matters for choosing
between the two. I understand the Charger's learning curve may be a little steeper? I guess both have their advantages. I'm able to save a little
money on a couple Chargers vs. a couple Matrixx. Living in South Korea makes it tough for me to go out and try a few out, so I have to do my best
with researching and asking questions. What is your opinion between those two? Thanks again!

how much time do you have on depower? can't remember ...and your weight?
and this is for water right?
matrix 12/15 was where it ended. both are fairly advanced units . but with NO experience the charger would be too much.

2nd Phree on this one for sure. Love the Charger, no way in hell would I put a beginner on one.
I don't see the point in getting the top of the line anything if you're just starting out given that you ARE GOING TO CRASH IT. Why wreck new when
used will do?
I'd go for a used kite, get some hours in and get your handling dialed. (Thinking Venom 2 or similar)
Then cowboy up to the big rigs. :wee:

+1million on used..
You will get much more bang for your buck picking up a used set-up. Lot of the guys on here take exceptional care of thier gear. You can get a
Matrix and have $$ left to buy another kite to play with or just save.. Plus you don't have to worry or feel bad if you stuff it into the ground,
beach, etc..

take 1/2 second to get hurt, crack this unit open and end what you THOUGHT was a great idea.
by an old tube 9-12m, 2008 or newer and you get going. and a least a ground lesson and a drag/rescue lesson.

this is from your other thread...is this still relevant?
" I have a 4m Flow that I've used a few times. Im due to receive my 9m Frenzy in the mail soon. After that, I'm looking for something I can do both
land and water with. I grew up on a lake skiing and wakeboarding, so I love the water aspect, but I realize that much of the year it'll be too cold
for that where I live. I suppose average wind speeds are 8-12mph here. I'm looking to board on land and on water."
if you must choose between those 2, I would go for the matrix 15m. Won't be what a 19/21m flysurfer is though for that range. But, a 15 will
probably okay with your current 9m. I wouldn't worry about picking up a smaller size at the moment cause you have your 9m for the winter land riding.
Then, once the water season comes around, maybe pick up a smaller used tube - 9/10m, you could pick up a 2009 tube for fairly cheap and will work
well.

Thanks for the reminders on used. My weight is about 175. I got my Frenzy a couple weeks ago...it's great! Ive got to quit jumping on land though...or
at least smaller jumps...or at least wait for my bruised heel to heal. It is addictive, that's for sure. A 5 hour session feels like 5 minutes. I'll
check into some used.
I appreciate the input from everyone. I'm just so limited to how I get information here in Korea. There's nobody near me that kites (well a small
korean club that does it on the complete opposite side of seoul) so getting information can be tough. Thanks again!
