Great news - is the date correct though - contest on until Dec. 21, 2012 - that would put everything off by another year.
I'll shoot off an email to VO boys.

Using the thesaurus and then mix and match on word jumble programs you could come up with thousands of words (but how many actually apply to the
spirit of the kites target use). It'll be interesting to see how this works out without a lot of rules. Because it doesn't say anything about the
first person to write a name anyone could simply copy all the names already written down - this could get out of control really fast. Fun to see some
of the names though, a few really different ones especially when they are coming from different languages.

oaky I just had to laugh at one recent post " how about animal names ...... goat....."
goat! that was funny
It looks like a lot of people haven't bothered to read the brief on picking a name that reflects the spirit of the kite, the company etc. There are a
lot of words getting churned out and some are already, or have been, names of kites out there
fencepost, gravy, whatever rhymes with orange... I really gotta stop watching the list grow :bouncy:

PL Arrogant
Would cover any of the PL offerings......
Get Arrogant!!!
At Peter Lynn we believe that pandering to please the appeal of the masses with another
brainless, cookie cutter concoction would be an insult to the senses.
We brazenly challenge you to fly the best and experience the freedom of taking the path others avoid.
Get Arrogant.... fly the best..... experience the sensation..... there is no turning back........

Were there any guidelines on number of submissions? I found it kind of quirky that nothing was stipulated either way.
Either 1 submission per category or "Submit early, Submit often!!" :wee:

that there should be only one post per kite, per person. Some people look to be tossing in as many words as they can per post.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, the list from yesterday was accidentally deleted and it's a new list started again. There is a post below the
thread apologizing and adding a few wind meters to the prize pool. It was funny that i just added some names, hit reply, they were there - refreshed
and then it wouldn't load the page and all was gone a couple of minutes later.
Stuff happens, pages get deleted, kites go in trees ....
