Not to worry, I though much the same thing last year. Then, in the eleventh hour, the attendee list blew up in the last few weeks prior to the event. There were over 200 of the nicest people I've even had the pleasure to meet milling about and playin' on the wind. Patience, my good man, and keep the faith,"they" will come.

you'll normally see movement in the new year. I've got flight booked but won't be doing the room booking and event registration until the new year. I think a few others also have flights booked but haven't registered yet. the list will grow the two months leading up to the event.
I can guarantee there will be at least 20 people there

if you log in on the NABX (nabx.net) site then one of the options available after login is to view the attendees list of those registered already.

a few years ago registration numbers started to stay with pilots so all previous numbers have been pre-assigned if the same person registers again. I had a lower number in some years and higher in others but now it's the same no matter when I register.
Sounds like you have a good number - there is a formula where you can convert your registration number to the max speed you'll get on the dry lake.

I'm official now. Come on guys, its easy to get signed up. Get the money in early so they don't have to worry about whether people need to get a second mortgage to fund "our" event. Attendee list is still scary small. I know it will grow over the next 81 days but sooner is better.

Thanks Bob.

It's really more about the shirts and deposits. We'll probably be okay $ wise(fingers crossed) but we have to order the shirts as far out as possible. Last minute shirt orders lowers their quality, and makes us guess at sizes.

We think this years art will blow everyone away.

Of course it helps everyone if you know you are coming and register, so what Mr. Muse says is the gospel. YMMV

Well I registered so there is one more to list. Still debating on the to camp or not to camp question. I mean the rooms are decent prices throughout the week weekend is when the prices skyrocket. But Its not much more. So if I do camp and lets say the winds blast into the 30s my tent wont survive so would I be able to get a room in the middle of the week at even pricing or would rooms be normal price or worse all filled up?

Getting a room on the weekend, without a res is often difficult. Primm Valley is trying to come back up and often they have events which pack out the hotel. This is why the rates go up on the weekend, though saying $52.00 is skyrocketing these days is not really a fair assessment.

That said, why not make a res for the weekend, plan to camp out, and cancel it the day before if you find living on the lake bed to suit you. It's a lot of fun and a great community out there.

Best of luck!

See you on the playa~!~

Ok I will do that that Thanks. Just double the price for a weekend night may not be skyrocketing but man thats a tank of gas and considering its going to take like 5 tanks to get there I need all the money saving I can get.

Wow........ Really? What are your dates? Need to figure out if it's cost effective for me to drive my stuff to Sunset, pay for an air fare, rental car and then drive back down to see Side to pick it up or if just driving down to Primm would be cheaper in the end. Let me know what your dates are and let ya know. Thanks again for the offer.
