how do you build strength to do passes
how do you build strength or practice bar passes to prevent falling on your face?

Do it static on the land with a smaller kite. Hang a wakeboarding handle from a tree ...
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

pull ups to your hip side, with hands close together....bar in a tree is a good start.
tramp and a bar , add really basic gymnastics moves etc, good body control must be established as well,
do them smoothly and until you can do them and think about something else, enjoy!

strength helps , timing, body control are practice points that just take time.
pop and kite position are fly time elements ... a ton of raily's helps , their easy and you get you the feel of momentum from the pop to get the
hips up to the bar ...kinda where i am now and my shoulders aren't gonna let me go much further.
on land the raily's is more of a flying fall over and yank than pop like on the water. lot more about kite control on land for sure. i can fly blind
unhooked and switch but have not hppped to pass yet....those kinda back cracks I know i can avoid!
