iphone waterproof case

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any experience with waterproof case for iphone 4s. Will be spending lots of time in snow, and around the water so need a good case.

Stay away from the Otter Box... While it is a fine case, it offers no water protection. (I know cuz I have it). Life proof is a new option and is supposed to be the real deal...
Good luck. Post your findings...

When I'm snowkiting, I generally stick my iphone in an inside pocket in my jacket. Even when I'm soaked, my phone is normally dry. Though, I don't normally go jumping through the ice into the water...

This season, I'll probalby stick my phone inside a sealed plastic bag just in case. I recall finding my phone case damp last season..

Another vote for H2O audio. I take my ipod kitesurfing in an H2O audio case all the time and have had no issues. The case is a little bulky but I don't notice it once riding and it keeps my ipod dry!!!

A ziplock bag. It's a very inexpensive waterproofing option, but offers no additional structural protection. It's what I use I use for my iphone on the slopes and at the beach. Touchscreen still functions, but you might as well leave headphones at home (or wrapped around your kitebar--right Cheezy?)

I honestly just came on here coming in a little tipsy (read quite bit (read a lot)) I just bought my first phone yesterday, which happens to be an iphone 4s. Some dude from another company party next door dropped his iphone in the toilet and it was toast. He was throwing a huge fit and a couple of his workers dragged him out. I was just about to ask this same question, and look what is right before my eyes. lol I got one of those Otter Cases but now gonna get a waterproof one. Anyway time to go to sleep and hope I don't hurt too bad when I wake up in the morning.:spin:

Mood: More kiting !!!

I am using this one :
http://www.lifeproof.com/lifeproof-store/apple-cases/iphone-...

I work in construction and my older iPhone is all scratched, dinged , mic and speaker clogged with dust.
..... Not planning to use it whet kiteboarding..... but I test empty case in bucket of water to make sure it will protect my phone in case of dropping it to toilet ...lol
As with any water proof case seal have to be clean every time when closing enclosure ....( I lost 1 Gopro because of sand grain in seal )
Bottom of case have small door that you can open to connect charger ..... waterproof headphone adapter to connect any headphones and openings for speaker and mic that want let water go in .......

If accidental drops and bumps are your major concern, then a silicone iPhone 4 cases (rubber case) should be your priority. These cases are not only lightweight but provide a good grip as well. The only drawback is the fact that these rubber cases tend to grasp more dirt on the surface over time. Therefore, you should remember to clean your rubber case occasionally if you buy one.
