Santa brought some wind

Well finally had a chance to put a kite in the air and a board on my feet. Was in VA Beach for Christmas and checked out Sandbridge at low tide, wind was SSW so off shore but blowing 10-12 and was able to get some grass mowing in on the 19 Venom II (wish i had brought the charger 19- what was i thinking). Monday moved us over to the bay at First Landing for a morning of 20s falling to about 10 by 3. This beach was decieving looked like hard pack but wasnt all that hard so had several forward launches when the board stopped but me and the kite did not. Also flew the 19 on Monday, and Andrew and I spent a lot of time doing pendelum jumps.
BIGGEST event i attempted a couple of Water starts on Monday as well but never got up due to the fact that i could not get my feet into my brothers board (he has little girl feet) and trying to start in 2 foot swells banging back onto the beach was a little frustrating but can see the advantage to water when i kite looped the 15m lei and went for a little ride- water is softer, and andrew and i have decided that will be our goal for the spring.
Hope you all had a chance to get some tight lines and spend time with your loved ones.
Scott

Great to get out isn't it. Yeah, water is softer. I got going on water this last year and it helped my confidence quite a bit. It taught me that I can fly in stronger conditions.
