Flexifoil Blade II 4m

Thinking about selling my 4m blade II. Blue and grey.
Well taken care of. No damage that I am aware of. I do not have the original handles, I traded them for a different brand that fit my hands better. The lines that are currently on it have broken and are a little shorter than stock. I have a brand new set of lines that will come with the kite. (the current set works fine, I was waiting to swap them out until I actually needed to) I have the original backpack.

I really don't know what this is worth as I can't find any for sale to compare, but if it is not worth $300 I'll likely hang onto it. I am in Sonora, ca if you want to pick it up. I can also take a paypal payment and ship it at actuall Shipping costs (no bogus packing or handling charges)

If you are interested in the kite I'll pull it out and take pictures, but if you are not willing to pay $300 please don't waste my time. If you are not interested in the kite please do not post here.

Wow. I understand that you are attempting to be helpful in your own misguided way, however, I would find it more helpful if you read my post before replying. Perhaps there is someone out there who loves the blade II, but can't find one and would be stoked on this price. All you have accomplished is hurting my chances of selling it at the price it is worth to me.

AGAIN; IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN MY KITE AT THE POSTED PRICE PLEASE DO NOT POST HERE. I will happily keep flying my kite if it does not sell.

Dude that type of attitude won't get you far on this forum. And the BOSSY NEGATIVE delivery of your message is definitely not welcome...

Well, this forum is obviously not the place for me. I do not feel that requesting my thread not be polluted by uninterested people is too much to ask. You guys have fun with your forum. I'll have fun in real life.

Not so much the message, but the delivery. Wreaks of negativity...

Ah, well, nobody's forcing you to stay, Planker.

We're probably the most friendly kite forum online if you don't start out on a high-horse. Would you have rather waited until a month went by with no takers before someone pointed out that your price is a bit high?

Best of luck with your sale, where-ever it might take you.

hey planker--thanks for the very rude u2u msg--very classy..... i was simply telling you my experience on this forum, imho 300 is a bit much for a 2..... with your attitude, i dont believe youre a proper fit for this forum...... we dont always agree here, but there is a general sense of friendliness here, something you clearly seem to lack......:moon:

While I don't agree with his negative attitude, I do agree with his sentiment. I too have sold kites here on craigslist and through other outlets. I too have had people come back to me and tell my my asking price was too high. In some cases I lowered the prices but in others I held my price because I knew it to be fair and you know what... others did too because the kites were bought for the price I asked even though others told me I should go lower.

Value and fair price is in the eyes of the seller / buyer. A fair price is whatever a buyer is willing to pay for it - even if its more then its worth or more then we think it should be sold for.

The difference between this transaction and mine is that those who told me to go lower did so in private and those conversations were kept in private. I'm not saying what wheresthewind did was wrong and how planker responded was right. I am saying, as one who has sold kites, if anyone disagrees with the aksing price, due the seller a courtesy by challenging that offline.

Someone may have been willing to buy this kite for $500. Who are we to dissuade them? Just because its a II series doesn't necessarily mean its worth less if its characterstics are more appealing to some then a III, IV or V series. I mean how often does JOJO update their kites but they still sell for a pretty penny. Should we contest that saying the design is many years old and thus not worth the current price compared to what a newer model goes for from an alternate designer?

Again, I'm not picking on anyone for what they've done, just trying to make things a little better for the next seller who comes along.

i disagree--he was trying to insinuate that my keen observation was going to result in the loss of sale at his asking price--COMPLETE AND UTTER NONSENSE--he is welcome to put it back up here and lets see what he gets--the market will dictate the price, NOT someones observation......

Well, seeing as my request to have my membership canceled has not gone through yet and I keep getting emails about replys to this post...

#1 Yes. My response to wheresthewind's post was "negative". I do not regret or deny this. The last sentence of my original post clearly, and with the use of the word "please" , asks that people not post unless they are interested in the kite.

#2 I don't understand all this talk about me selling on eBay or trying to sell here and seeing how much I get. I also clearly state that if the kite is not worth $300 I'll likely keep it. As it turns out the kite is not worth $300, it will stay in my quiver. I'm not trying to feed a baby or anything like that.

#3 Does anyone else feel like they are watching the human centipad episode of southpark? "why won't it read?!"

#4 if wheresthewind had been courteous and honored the request of my original post none of this would have happened.

#5 Will a moderator please cancel my account.

Oh, trust me, plenty of people would have chimed in regardless of who the first response was. No need to be sour to wheresthewind.

If you had been courteous enough to not set such a silly rule in your post, none of this would have happened, eh?
