Raindrops at those speeds can be painful. Beach debris more so.

It was RedSkyHorizon aka Tom...a contributer to this buggying section occasionally, he is also the new owner of the Dominator 4, you may not have
recognised it in the video as it has been stripped bare as he is revamping it with his own colour scheme.....Tom is hell bent on becoming the fastest
kite buggier, the only problem Tom has is his location.....the strip of beach he uses is very narrow and the wind has to be perfect for the run.....he
has already gone 66mph with an LEI, his ambition is to take the limit much higher, there is no question, if he had been at a better location and on a
beach which was not covered in water, and using the right wheels and tyres he would have certainly been challenging the top speeds.
Another thing to consider also is the extreme temperature....it was not far off zero degrees, he had also forgotton his dry suit, and he was obviously
drenched through to the skin....add the wind chill factor at those speeds, he is lucky he didnt freeze to death.
Lets be honest here....99.9% of us would not have even got out of the car that day...right
Without question, there are in my opinion only a hand full of people with enough balls to go out in the kind of winds needed to break the speed
record....and Tom told me, that session, it was gusting up to 80mph.......Tom without doubt is in that league. RESPECT
Toms 66mph

Tom is also the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet. Not a trace of arrogance and certainly doesn't take himself too seriously. Works all night
as a cleaner, if you met him you would never in a million years think that he's absolutely nuts when it comes to buggying.

80 beats my 50 lol!
And I just had overcast, not that nasty spray... I think it was 30-35° F last week...
I have nothing but respect for that guy, that was awesome! I just had the worst case of deja vu watching that, the jumpy kite, a fair amount of
rectal pucker when you reach the end of your run and youre still screaming... Lol hooj!!
And yes, the whole time I was watching I was like "that looks like a ptw bug"
