Washington Beaches

Well boys and girls, it is time for the few to get things together for the most..........

A few of us are setting the dates for the Wa. Beaches for 2012. Through NAPKA we will have 9 events, that will be 3 days each. There will be 3 beaches to hold the events. So 3 events times 3 beaches = 9.
We will also be setting the dates for the Wa. Beaches for the PNWBA, (pacific north west blokart association). Which have the same event opportunity as NAPKA, another 9 events.

What we want to do is ask anyone that would like to attend, is what dates would you like for us to consider and put in the events for?
Any suggestions? Tides, holidays, razor clam digs, weather, etc, are things that need to be worked around. Please be aware that the State has a mind of there own and we are trying to work out a schedule that works for everyone and the State.

We will post the results of the schedule as soon as the State OS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s the selection.

Just remember the lowest tides get clam diggers at the last minute and we get canceled. Just a thought.

North Beach June 1-3 is a possibility as we're way north of the festival.

South Beach July 13-15 is a NO GO as the festival area overlaps our buggy area.

Crazyherb, I have a paraglider to convert. How much are you thinking to spend? I think it is 24m but might be closer to 30m. I can't remember. I have thought about sending it to powerzone to see if he wants to convert it to depower.

Saturday, winds were light played around on the 12.5, buggeyed on his 10 until tide ,and winds, called a halt to play time. Everyone left for lunch I sat and ate on the beach, visited with Monty for awhile. Hope to get out later with you Monty. Winds started to come back, about high tide. 12.5 was the weapon of choice, made a run up the beach and back Gerald came back. Morrie came back. Buggeyed and I made a great run up the beach to Ocean Park, 8 miles? maybe. Winds picked up some on the return got interesting. Glad I have a heavier buggy. Switched to my 8, ran back up the beach and back ,crazyherb was there winds started to mellow more decided to call it a day as buggeyed, was going for his 14m and crazy was still rolling around on some big c shaped inflatable thing. :) didn't have handles so I lost interest. :) Just kidding, maybe someday I'll give a go to bars and boards.I have one down, bars. How did the evening progress? Did anyone venture out Sunday, between the rain showers? I opted for a movie and a beer (2). Maybe Monday.
Next time.

YAY!

Good times guys! Nice meeting everyone!!
I just went straight for the big 18M North Rhino (Sat afternoon) the winds were light...and, at times, it was more work keeping "The TANK" up in the air, than I like.. :P

I've posted a video from my helmet mount for your enjoyment.

Kiting Long Beach

As for today?
I've been watching the rain turn on and off all day.
Didn't even bother to go explore the beach for any of the crew.

Had a great time!! Looking forward to next time... :wee:

That was a great run up the beach Fletch.Sat.was definatly the best day.

I got out on Sun.morning for a bit wind were straight south and I ran out beach quick. We ended up at Sunset Beach in the evening ,the winds were a bit more west. So I got a few more hours in till the drizzle and wind shut off at about 8 pm.I had a few kites to dry when i got home.

Was pouring rain all the way back to Vancouver today. It was great to see & meet everyone.Hope to get down again over the summer before fall Sobb.
