Daytona Beach, FL - Kite Buggying?
So I'm getting ready to head to Daytona Beach for a week and am planning on bringing buggy and kites for some good clean fun
Then I started thinking that I don't know how the local officials feel about buggying on the beaches. Anyone from around that part of the country?
Is Daytona buggy friendly?

Best I remember, the issue is that FHP considers the beaches in Daytona a highway and buggies are prohibited since we technically don't have brakes
and don't have taillights. Bottom line, whatever the reasoning, you won't be allowed to do it once noticed, and if you do it anyway till someone says
something, you could get a citation.

Hey thanks Bob. I figured they might not allow the buggies on the beach with the cars, but there's a long stretch of beach that is now closed off to
vehicular traffic so I was thinking I might be able to make a go of it there.
In case that doesn't work out do you know of any beaches nearby that are more buggy friendly?

I'm not well versed on the Florida beaches but I know that the buggying is welcome and fantastic at Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine. Miles of
desolate hard packed beach, with no public access unless you walk, ride a bike, or kite power your way from the parking area.
