faster kites
After I graduate in a few months and hopefully have a job and some money, I want to buy another kite. Right now I have a 5m scout and a 10m crossfire
II. Both of these kites are slow even in higher wind. I want to get into more ATBing but i think i want a faster kite. I have seen videos of ozone
mantas and they look good but i dont know
i want something that can turn faster

True that but many LEIs turn faster then many foils so you may want to look into LEIs if your prime consideration is turning speed.
Depower Quiver: 14m Gin Eskimo, 10m Gin Eskimo III, 6m Gin Yeti, 4.5m Gin Yeti (custom bridle and mixer)
Fixed Bridle Quiver: MAC Bego 400, JOJO ET Instinct 2.5 & 5.5, Lil Devil 1.5, Sting 1.2

Seconded. LEIs of comparable size will generally turn faster than a foil. A 10m North Rebel will turn faster than a 10m PL or a 10m Psycho4.
However, there are other things you may want to take into consideration as well. How fast is that kite across the window? How much power does it
develop as it goes across the window? How far upwind can you tack with that kite?
Personally, I would recommend you attend the Wildwood Buggy Bash and try out as many kites as you can. Then get down to Real for their Demo day in May
and demo a bunch of LEIs and see what you think.
The more kites you fly, the better idea you are going to get of what you want to own.

couple things...
1. the scout flies on a bar, right, so its hard to get brake input... try flying on handles and im pretty sure itll become more responsive....
2. the crossfire is a big kite so its gonna turn slow even with lots of brake input...
also, what are you trying to do? atb? ive found depower a MUCH better way to go on the landboard.... you sure you wanna stick with fixed bridle?
tube? no tube? conditions? all things to consider...

What about an Ozone Turbo bar on the Crossfire ? There's a youtube video somewhere of a 5m crossfire on the turbo bar and that seems to be flying
nicely. My fixed bridles certainly turn a lot faster on the turbo bar than with the equivalent input on handles....

So... inland flying.. with variable wind and gusty conditions...
Definitely depower is the way to go. You tried my 8m Outlaw that one day, right? Those winds were a little variable, what did you think?
Things to consider: PL Arcs handle variable winds and gusts quite well. Amusingly, so do LEI kites. Strange, but that is what I have heard from
numerous different sources. The other thing to think about would be transportation to places with cleaner wind.
I pretty much do not ride in the DC area simply because the trip to cleaner winds is almost always worth it. At least, that is my humble opinion. If
you can hook up with someone else heading the same way... transportation is easy...

The crossfire and much more so with the Crossfire II are very sensitive to brake tension. I wouldn't want to give up any control of the CF II for the
convenience of the bar.

There are some U-Turn Butan's for sale right now... I know Dirtslide used them on a board and in the bug for many years.
(the 2.5 wouldn't be good with gusty wind though)
The seller is great too!

FWIW: There will be a point of diminishing returns, but have you tweaked the attachment point at #7 to see if you can get the Scout to turn faster?
