Jekyll Island Buggying?

Heading down to FL in a couple of days and realized I'll be driving right by Jekyll Island on I-95 at some point on Sunday. Anyone gonna be buggying there on Sunday?

What conditions do I need for a good session? (i.e. low tide, wind direction, etc.) Does Sunday look promising at all?

Thanks in advance for any help!

low tide is moving through the midday around 12-1pm morning hi is weak in height so an early start is recommended to maximize the ride time ...unfortunately NW to west is forecast so that ain;t so good , but its gonna be heavy air, SUNday AM looks to be NW .

gonna be a pretty good blow this weekend sat ESE 15+ , then swinging NW to W for sunday 20+

The optimist might hope for some thermal action that overrides that westerly stuff and you get that sweet smooth onshore to play with.

Bob, if there's one thing I've learned since getting into kiting it's optimism :singing:

Spoke to Angus today, very nice guy. Looks like I might have a shot at the 2nd half of low tide. Will probably be getting there around 1PM or so. Forecast calls for plenty of wind, but not in the right direction- so we'll have to wait and see.

Don't think I haven't thought about it lad :ninja:

Will probably be on the road relatively early from FL, only thing is I have a lot of driving that day.

Might try to choose a closer place to stopover so that we can fit some time in to fly Jekyll Island if the tides and weather look good (of course that means a longer drive the next day  )
