So ..... I try Airush Sector for a first time and have a big problem with getting on it ..... It's almost impossible to tilt the board when you in
water so you can put you feet in straps ...... I try for 15 min and give up ......
Then I use kite to lift me above water surface and land on board .... that work much batter .... only problem is that board start going forward
very fast before I have chance to get my kite in position ,,,,,
.... Any videos on how to water start with that monster ???? .... also ....... any good videos on jibe with directionals on straps ???

I've done strapless starts on a surfboard before... couple tricks to that.. but getting a fast start and turning quickly to get your angle are
basically the key... Personally I like starting in just enough water for me to stand next to the board, put one foot on it, dive and stand up on it..
and off you go...
Deep water starts are tricky. I like to lay back in the water and kind of put my feet up on the board... then use the kite to lift up onto the board
and start planning... Doesnt always work...

race boards are difficult elements if you are not a windsurfer.
this is what works for me, not starting in the straps is the way to go, esp. the front foot.
rear foot , been fine with the rear foot in the strap or right behind it. front has to be in the center of the board between straps. then high
window pop up and zoom straight down wind with deep kite stroke, fast!! then board is ridden "on top" not side like TT.
freaky fast anything more than 15- 16 will end badly. its the only thing i have ridden i feared for my ankles breaking! EVERYTIME! i had 3-4 goes on
my buddies and jibes are just tedious and a true tack , backroll over the board and land on it, ...i certainly have not committed time to master this
thing yet to even consider buying one. just handling it in open water is challenging. a fat surf board is by far easier, not as technical.
if you have a good amount of 12mph air it would give alot water time .
i gave him my gopro and he made a few passes /JIBEs. notice how dead the kite looks on a turn. this is flat water spot for us and its 10-12maybe,
this is from my vimeo channel
I been told to use 3-4 sizes smaller kite then normally for that board and with X19 its 7mph upwind travel possible .....
Now .... in those cold months its good time for me to learn new things since bay is free of kiters and windsurfers .... got to use that time to get
my skills so I can feel comfortable when kite beach get crowded ...
Open water scares me a lot but since all PROS have to ride in shallow water to show up how many nice tricks they can preform and complaining all time
about beginners with theirs kite at zenith too often I did have to learn kiteboarding on deep water .... and somehow I am better now with traveling
away from land .......
My board is Airush Sector witch is not a full race board .... They say its freerace board that is easier to maneuver and very good at low wind days
and traveling upwind .....
I attach video with demo from Airush .......
Lets try to get that water start going ... lol .... next time I will use all above suggestions and see what happen .....

not a race board inthe vid, thats more a SMALL surf board i actually have its predecessor AR starboard 5'10" almost same set up the quads not as
big, frightening fast , easier than a race board for sure
a race bard ridden toeside? ..have not seen that yet.
your gonna be surprised HOW MUCH power that board will need to get going , my experience with the older version it was as much as my TT.
in the vid the guys lit ..on a lake -like water, prolly do well in 15mph on your 19m and have a reasonable good go. gonna be fast! thats what the
board is for, speed. crazy up wind too, ... a big fat door will do better LOW speed in lighter air with your 19m.
Board is advertised as low wind or beginner race board ......
.... video above have intention of showing that is not only for race and it is possible to have fun with it .....
below is video of X19 + Sector in 4-5 knots winds ....

beginner jibe in light air ? if they have had windsurf skills first maybe, and mountain of kite skill.
light air is tedious and the BIG race boards have better float so it makes a bit of difference there for sure. 15/16m tube in about 8-10mph is what
i've seen on a big Cab race and the skill set to sew it together. and after about 15/16mph is all maniac sketch esp. on the down wind.
seeing a race board in action in decent air the boards are flown on the finns, the board kinda push UP like a hydro foil. light air they're fast
yes, and kinda bouncy. when there lit they stop bouncing!
hers alook at the directional pre-race series by airush really old school . mine required as much air as TT and i found limiting. learning on one
would have been a challenge as most say this.
