Looking for a 13m LEI
Its time for me to move on up in the kiting world.
I want a 13m (or something close) kite.
At first I was thinking of a FB kite but I think I will actually get out on the water this year so I would probably be better with a LEI.
First, I just recently found out that there are different kinds of LEI's. My instructor said that I should get something that isnt a C-kite. But I
thought that all LEI's were C-kites...?
I have looked around on here but havent seen anything.
I was just wondering if anyone has one that they were debating on selling, and if they do, to U2U me.
Also, what are some good websites for buying/selling kites?
This is the only site I really trust because I know that there are a lot of scammers out there and I would rather hear input from you guys first.

This link will explain the different LEI designs available:
http://www.tantrumkitesurf.com/kiteschool/typesofkites.php
The reason your instructor told you to get something other than a C-kite is because C-kites are *usually* less stable, have a more narrow windrange,
and are more difficult to relaunch. Supposedly newer Fuels are much better in those regards, but I'd still recommend a Bow or SLE for you to start
out on.
Other sites I use besides here for buying kites are eBay, IKitesurf classifieds, nwkiteforum.com classifieds, and Craigslist (mainly cites in Texas).
With eBay you'll get buyer protection and you can see the history of the seller. I haven't had any bad experiences on IKS, but I have read stories
where others have. Nwkiteforums seems legit and I've noticed a lot of sellers actually include their cellphone #s so you can talk to them directly.
For Craigslist, I usually talk to the seller and end up driving to that city to make the purchase as the sellers are usually in the coastal area I'll
be kiting at anyway. When buying off online sites that aren't ebay, it's generally a good idea to email the seller and develop some rapport with them
to feel them out and get a better level of trust.
There's also this site: http://www.kitersoutlet.com/KO-KitesOnly
You submit your offer and they approve it. That sales format is kinda weird, but they do have a 2010 Best Bularoo 13m which would be perfect for you
if you are doin land kiting in addition to water.
I have a 2009 Best Waroo 11m and 2009 Kahoona 11.5m I'm thinking of selling if you are willing to drop down 1.5 to 2 meters in size.
Kites:
2012 TS 7,9,12/2007 Waroo 3,5/2009 Kahoona 9.5
Flexifoil Ion 2 8.5
HQ Hydra 350
Naish Helix 2, Cult 3,4.5
Ozone Zephyr 17m
Rides:
2011 Best Profanity 134, Cabrinha Kiteskate, Cabrinha Nugget, 2k9 Cabrinha Plasma 146x50, 2k9 Flexifoil Delta 139x41.5, 2011 Slingshot Darko 135x41,

I had one lesson on a Raven (C-Kite) and the relaunch was brutal. In fact it didn't - each crash was a 10 minutes drift back to shore.
Next lesson was on a Best Guroo - think it's a bow kite? Relaunch was automatic. Nice kite. I think they are school-specific though...built a bit more
bombproof but not readily available on the market. Last lesson was on the Slingshot T3, which as you can tell by my sig, I loved. Perfect price (about
$400 each RTF), good brand standing behind it for replacements & support, drops from the sky when needed and sits on a wingtip waiting for you to
clear your nose.
I think the T3's evolved to the Rally lineup? From what I've heard you want to avoid the Key - even though there's a few 13's on the used market right
now. I heard something about the bar setup being a piece of junk?
I've found iKiteSurf and nwkite to have great, active classifieds in the LEI and board department.

thank you guys so much.
I did a google search and found more in-depth information about the types of LEI's.
And I will definitely be checking out those sites for kites for sale.
