Big Bang Theory even better!

As much as I love watching The Big Bang Theory, it just got better! I may even be a little late on this one but the Kite Fighting episode was on! Well they only showed the "kite fighting" for a minute, but it still rocks!

Love that show!

As a 2-Time East Coast North American Kite Fighting Novice Champion ;-) - I wonder if, indeed, "any publicity is good publicity!" :puzzled:

Direct Youtube linking is not showing up below, here is the link to the BBT kite fighting segment.

Indian Spool Winders and Handle Winders?

Polyester lines?

1 Indian Fighter and 2 Deltas?

This is worse than motorcycle/car/gun/knife inaccuracies in movies... sigh.

No, it's not the best publicity. I appreciate the factual parts. To be fair, you'll probably never see more kiting facts integrated into American entertainment, but our sport is, as usual, the object of derision. It is our lot in the US of A.

I'll do my part in the PR campaign by continuing to zoom down the beach with a smile on my face and a friendly hello to all I pass.

As a bigger very hairy and sometimes scary looking guy, I know the importance of a nice smile and a friendly greeting. So even if Follywood gets it wrong every day. We can all do our part to spin it into correctnes. It's all about attitude. Keep it possitive:bigok:

I like this aspect of this forum. There a lot of people here who understand kiting in its many forms.

It's knowledge in depth and that's a good thing.

I simply look at the show as a group of guys that can only get two things right, science and electronics! I did in any way take the episode as bad publicity. I knew they weren't using the right kites, but it still made me Chuckle, I mean just running around an apartment complex saying "Kite Ho" was hilarious. I used to play paintball and watched the episode where they played paintball, the characters couldn't even get that right. Sheldon laid on the ground for hours (t.v. time of course) after being shot with some paint balls.

I love the show and will continue to watch it.

I also love Kiting in all forms, I may not own all types, but I love them just the same.
I will also do my part in passing the good word as I ride on the beach, at the local park, at all the schools that I go to and discuss all forms of kiting and show the kids what kiting is all about!:tumble:
