To be honest the seaglider in HAH's thread looks more plausible... Can't just be air in the leading struts, also no way to ensure any fore and aft
stability...
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.
It starting to go viral a few other places, run across it twice more in a lazy evening of surfing wind-related stuff on line. Apparently he's got
something sewn in between his legs for stability, something kinda like what you might find on a wingsuit, (btw wingsuit proximity basejumpers are
inSANE!) but the wings just don't look right to me.

As noted this has been popping up on forums all over the place and as kite fliers many of us can't believe how easily people think this has any sense
of being real -it is well done but come on, look it at from a kite flier point of view, there is now way he's flying. There are many things that that
right away point to fake - anyone truly think this is real? We are still two weeks away from April 1st it's good entertainment.

In the video when he takes off There is a buzzing noise. Like a chainsaw it can be heard on the actual flight. So I am thinking it may have an engine
to help get you off the ground. The jerky looking flying though at .25 is kinda odd looking.

If you go through his series of videos, you will see that the "wings" are motor driven, steel re-inforced, wii controller controlled through his smart
phone accelerometer. Doesn't say where he keeps the batteries, though...

there is far more wrong with it other than the buzzing noise - just look at the wings, think about kites, hang gliders, shape/lift and weight on a
wing when it's under load. This ranks up there with running fast to run on top of water, super slide to goes hundreds of feet into a tiny inflatable
pool, jumping with a kite from the roof of one building to another..... well done but so many things that are implausible as far the flight dynamics.

Anyone notice the tire tracks along his path when he was "landing"? No way he got that altitude by just flapping those long wings with his non Mr
Olympia chest.

the engineers at Univ of Toronto created the first flapping wing human powered ornithopter that did a sustained flight a year ago. It needed a tow up
before starting the flapping wing which was driven again through a complex bicycle drive to warp the 105 ft wingspan. Here is a link to that flight
and other info
