It is not going to be like a power kite, it will be like a revolution kite.
Rev's turn 100% with BRAKE input. Pulling an entire side will only make the kite SLIDE that direction if your in a balanced hover.
Soo much to cover, I am new to Rev's myself....
my 1st tip would be to equalise the lines. Make sure (even if new) that the top lines are the same length and the bottom lines are the same length.
all 4 do not have to be identical, but tops must match and bottoms must match.
Set-up the handles and stake them up at the top lines. So the brakes are out as if full power on a quad power kite. Run your lines out, set-up the
kite. Connect the lines to the kite and stand the kite up with the leading edge DOWN.
This is the prefered launch/landing set-up by Rev teams. Setting the handles full forward and kite facing down makes it fly into the ground and is
most secure if a gust comes thru.
Set this way you can get on the handles and start giving it a touch of brake on one side, get a feel for how the kite reacts. When you get a feel for
it, give it more brake on one side and roll it over, then give full brake, just to make sure she stays down...
At this point you are ready for launch. depoending on wind and kite set-up the kite may launch just by releasing brake, or it may want a quick pump
to get moving..
As mentioned Youtube Revolution kites, especially ones by John Baressi / Kitelife. They are for a rev, but the kite type and basic controll is the
same..
