For our foreign friends: Our friend Arjen is recovering from his accident. Slowly but steady. He is still in Norway and needs to be transported to Holland for further surgery and revalidation. The only way to do this is by ambulance airplane. Unfortunately the costs for transportion (about 15000 euros !!!) are not covered by his insurance. That is why his friends set up the "Luctor Et Emergo" page on facebook to gather donations for Arjen%s trip. If you want to contribute

This is going to sound very cold but I couldn't help smiling a bit when I read the top post.
It's worded like a scam email that is sent straight to junk mail. lol

Arjen was injured during a practice trip in greenland

It's bad, and we don't har final word as to what is going on yet.

As of right now he's still in Greenland awaiting to be transport back to Holland for medical aid. His insurance isn't covering him in that country

Well Instead of training in Greenland ... Arjen was on an practice trip for the Greenland crossing in Norway This trip was for testing the Snowbuggys and gear http://www.snowbuggy.nl/index.php . on the second day there was not enough wind to use the snowbuggy , so Erik ( Arjens team member ) and Arjen went out on skies and the Vapor 16 . About an hour later Erik found Arjen hurt in the snow and called the medical sevice . Arjen and Erik where air lifted to the hospital in Bergen Norway , Arjen was so badly hurt he needed to go to the intensif care . His pelvis is broken in several places , internal bleeding and damaged internal organs . At first the doctor could not stop the internal bleeding finaly after almost 2 weeks the doctors could concentrate on the broken pelvis . Now almost 3 weeks later Arjen is stable enough to be transported to an intensif care in The Netherlands , this transport from Norway to The Netherlands was not included in the insurence . The flight home alone is about 15.000,= euro. He is slowely awakening from his long sleep . as soon he is in The Netherlands the doctors need to operate a few times more to restore his broken bones . All toggedder this will take a long time for Arjen to get back on top . That's what I was thinking... Unbelievable how it can happen to someone at his skill level

I can only imagine what he is going through, and what is yet to come. Hopes and prayer are with you for a good outcome.
