Depower for everything. I want to learn FB just because I think it would help teach good kite position in the window to control power. To easy to push
the bar away to scrub of some power rather than say fly the kite a little higher in the sky.

On the water it's depower (is there a choice?) but on land I fly both. If winds are high I'm more comfortable (paradoxically) with a fixed bridle
kite that I can always drop the handles. If the wind is nice and steady and not too high I love depower rides in the buggy.
Best thing about flying on handles? Looks awesome in the GoPro- reminds me of dual-wielding pistols in Call of Duty :bigok:

I frequently use both on the same day. I have an idea of what I want to spend time on before I head out but am flexible enough to switch if wind
conditions warrant it. I like the direct power feel and ultimate performance of a fb kite on handles well matched to the wind, but also like the
added wind range of a high performance depower. We had maxed out the limits on the Montana VIs but the new M VIIs have longer legs and we are still
exploring them. Phantom IIs are in the house but the 9m is backordered. Hope it makes it before the season is cooked here. Maybe 3-4 more weeks and
it's too hot for 3 months. HQ Prodigy and PL Vapors are the tools when the handles come out.

Depower all the way. I feel so much more confident, safe and comfortable on DPs as opposed to FBs. I will static fly my FBs for kicks and giggles
and I formerly flew them in the lowest winds but I just bought a 14m depower so even my begos will likely now be retired. Depower is the way forward.
Once you get used to it there is no turning back.
I kite ski and kite landboard. I can see full-on buggy riders not wanting to migrate to DP but for me they are the only kites that make sense for the
type of riding I want to do.

Looked for the poll, to vote, but...? Anyway, it seems I only pull out my de-powers when I have lots of room, I'm so afraid of putting one of them in
a tree! I just don't have enough time on them to feel really confident about the control, with the bar being kind of 'slow', compared to handles,
IMHO. Then, there is my tendency to choke the stuffing out of the kite by pulling on the bar too much! Need more room/practice! My NPW's, however,
I'll fly them just about anywhere, and will drive them as hard as I am able. I do like the QR/chicken loops on my de-powers for when I'm being
dragged on my face while snowkiting! :bird:

FB's.... Static jumping and landboard... My arcs were only bought because the d'arc side came calling! I'll figure them out someday but now flying
within minutes of getting to my spot is where it's at.
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

Mainly FB's since I get more short (<2hr) sessions in and they are easier to launch and pack up than my arcs ... but then again I do pull out my
Access almost as often as an FB when snowkiting due to the gusty conditions around here.
