Sunset Beach 5/15

I'll be at Sunset Beach off of Sunset Beach lane buggying tomorrow around 1pm or so. Wind is supposed to be great, was decent today. It would be cool to meet people from the forum and maybe experience different kites and/or buggies. Low tide is around 3:30 and wind is supposed to be WNW. I'm not sure where locals ride but I'll check this thread tomorrow before i go out. I'll be riding a PL XR and flying a PL Viper. If I don't see anybody hopefully I'll see you at SOBB if I can make it.

Take care,
Chris

Oh man does that sound good!
But I have to work today.

I am taking vacation for SOBB in a couple weeks, you need to try and get to the beach then. Its Buggy Paradise!

Have a great day, I wish I were there

Jim, Richard and Eli all usually are at work but I am always availible. I am way to easy, wait does that make me a buggy hoe, or a kite #@%$#!?
Now as far as the directions go... Hwy 101 to Sunset Beach Lane over the bridge to the stop sign, now you have to ask yourself, is Jon home? If you want to know then turn left and go to the fourth house on the left. If the beach is calling your name then go straight at the stop sign and there is the beach. We go north up he beach to the second pole that is up on the dune. That way we try to stay away from the beach entrance where the car traffic is greater.

Thanks for the directions John, I might stop by about 12:30 or 1, if I don't I'll be on the beach riding. I'll go to the second pole like you said.

Monday was pretty nice, winds were around 14mph when I was there. I got a few good runs in and got pretty wet and sandy going through the tidal wash. Apparently, I had just missed Jim, he came out not too long after I had left. Tuesday's winds were forecast as WNW and 10-15mph. It ended up being NW and less than 10mph for most of the day, I just did a bunch of short runs across the beach for about 6 hours. By the time I left the winds had built to about 15mph and gusting to 18mph. I also left with a really burnt face, unfortunately. Jim came out for a bit and chatted, he didn't feel like riding because of the NW winds. A few minutes after Jim left John came out and chatted. It was great to meet both of you, hopefully I'll be able to come to SOBB and ride with you. I had a great time, it was my first time buggying on sand and having such stable winds. I'm so used to bumpy/hilly grass seed fields as well as really dirty wind and big gusts. I'll definitely be back out that way as soon as I can.
