New Kite Rituals
I have a new kite coming in today (thanks Dino!) and I was wondering if you guys have any preflight rituals or anything along those lines for kites. I

the only ritual I have is to sit and look at your new kite, cuz you won't get any wind after you open that box....

Flyjump how true, I just bought a baby century and cannot test as the wind will not co-operate

New kite curse is totally a reality. By a low wind kite and the wind will blow 20+ for weeks. Buy a storm kite and the wind won't blow at all for a
month.

Well I got the kite unrolled it, looked at it, and now it's raining outside. I am at work now and hopefully the rain will stop soon!!

Yup, just happened to me with a "new to me" kite I got two weeks ago. Finally, I got to get it out today for it's initial shakedown. My new kite
ritual whether it is truly new, or new to me, is that I unpack it when it arrives and then parapack it the way I like it so at least after the curse
of no wind finally relents- I'm really ready to fly with a quick setup.

I think it's a new anything kite related curse. When I bought my buggy we didn't get wind for a month and a half! :flaming:

Actually given the way the season started and how short it was, we were lucky here and got a ton of riding in.
No new skis for you next year!
