I'd like put out a request to all San Fransico riders out there: (I apologize for the length of the story here)
I live up in Eureka Ca, and I met my friend around two years ago. He was going to Humboldt State and is a surfer. I gave him a few older kites and taught him how to kite. He took to it ridiculously fast, and he couldn't get enough of it. We started to hang out much more, and eventually took a kite road trip to Sherman Island with a couple other buddies. When we got back from that trip, I went back to work and two days later came home from a flight to a message on my phone that he had an accident and had broken his neck. He had gone to the river with some friends and dove in and hit a rock. It was as bad as anyone could imagine, and he is now quadrapalegic. After months in the hospitals, he now lives in Pacifica with his parents.
Here is my request, if anyone that buggies in the Bay area and can tandom, it would be insane if he could ride with someone.
Our dream is that he will be able to get back to kiting in some way in the future, and just a ride in a tandem would be a step forward.
My buddy is the most positive person I have ever met. At first, I thought I was the mature one in our relationship!

Hey, I'm a local Bay Area person, and while I don't have a buggy or even a big kite, I just wanted to say that I hope something works out for your friend, and if you ever want to meet up or anything like that, I'm in the South Bay and would love to hang out with you and/or your friend.

I think it's really cool that you're trying to hook him up with what makes him happy, and I basically just wanted to give you an e-high-five Thinking awesome thoughts for you and your buddy!
