Looking to feed the addiction
Ok I have been checking things out here on the site and you guys are great! I have had my HQ 2.1 Symphony for a few months now. Very comfortable with
it even in winds up to 20 mph. I am looking to take the next step. I was originally thinking the Rush Pro 350, but you guys had said moving up to 4
line would be good. I weigh 220 lbs and would like to have the rush of being pulled around a little. I definately want something that is going to be a
different flying experience than my Symphony but I just don't know how big to go so....
What would you guys suggest I look into for my next kite?...and
Should I buy new or used from people on this site?
I live in Minnesota and I am looking for people to share this new found life choice of mine!
Thanks in advance for your input!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the PL Twister II 4.1m is one of my favorite kites ever. Being 4.1 meters, its a bit of a niche kite, but
that size allows you to take it out in both very light and moderately strong winds. At 220 lbs, you could hold it down in more wind than I could, but
its a kite that demands respect.
You can save a lot of money by buying on the forum. There are many on here who are great people, very friendly and helpful, and are also distributors
who run accredited shops. Look in the siggys

3-4 meter will serve you well. I was 185lbs when I started and bought a 5.6. Oops!
A few kites that will serve well as a trainer and later a high wind are:
PL: Viper S
Ozone: Flow
HQ: Beamer
PKD: Buster Soulfly
I would stay away from lifty kites to begin with. Injuries hurt!

Welcome from your neighbor! I'm also 220lbs and started with a 4 meter HQ beamer, very stable non-lifty and forgiving kite. You can't go wrong with
Mogul's list mentioned above, they all have great attributes suited to the non-expert pilot. I still have my Beamer to this day and will never sell
it due to sentimental reasons.

I started with a Viper and I never have regretted it at all. They are great kites and they are really cheap right now because they are no longer being
made. Good luck and welcome to the cure!

Thanks for all of the replies. I will look into the Vipers. Just watched a video of some MN kiters kitesurfing on a nearby lake. Man it makes me want
to learn more. I know I will not want to stay static forever! Now to prepare the wallet for the beating it will most likely take

+1 on Mougl's list... he won't steer you wrong.
i've been through a few so far and now have all the vipers. so much fun to fly, not as frustrating as some of the others.

Hi All,
Wihout trying to hijack the thread. Ive heard a lot of folks talking about the sweet deals
on vipers due to them going out of production, Ive not seen any of these deals myself though, can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers..

Check out Dakitez.com. Dino is one of so many on here that is great to work with. He is sold out of the 3.9M though...
