Anybody visit cable parks ?
They are opening a cable park near my Mothers place this week.
Being a frost bitten Canadian I have been aware of them but never really had a chance to try. Our season is so short I only hope they can afford to
stay open ?
SO...... What are folks opinions on these parks ?
I have to think that since I struggle with the board kitesurfing that a day at the cable park couldn't hurt . ( anything but my ego ) :puzzled:

used to go to one a couple times a summer when I lived in Magdeburg. I liked the salom ski, never made it past the first tower on the wake board
though. It was always a good time, the flying sauceR, ufo board was fun to eat it on too.

Can you post full info for me? I've been watching nwkite for ages as they've been trying to get a park open (because until this news of yours it would
be the closest one). Where/when/website etc?

acutally Macboy, there is one in Winnipeg as well- at least 3 hours closer than YVR by car

they're fun- easier than learning behind a boat, you have a constant feeling of lift but its not like a trapeze where if you keep holding on it will
keep you up.

Just saw this on the news the other night.
http://www.kelownacablepark.com/
My Mother isn't in Calgary. She is in Peachland.
I sort of figured I would get a lot of input from folks who have done this. There are a lot of these parks out east, NO?

yes they are super fun, stay between the buoys on the turns so the line doesn't yank you off your board. :singing::singing::singing:

Cable park has helped me immensely with board skills, as I had none. Also, you don't have to worry about getting skunked or not having the right gear
for the conditions.
Some of them have sales on their passes/rental every now and then. Groupon and social living are good sites to keep an eye on. I've gotten 5 all day
passes so far at half price. Almost beats getting a season pass, at least if you can't go very often.
Definitely stay between the buoys.
Too many kites, boards, and etceteras.
