Kite Buggying Valley Airport *VIDEO*

For a Father's Day gift, Ashli allowed me a full day to myself of kiting, so I took a day trip to Valley Airport which is about 2 hrs south of Atlanta, just over the Alabama border. The airfield has been out of service for over 20 years, and is now a public park, walking track, and RC airfield (only on Saturday).

I found out about this spot from CombatCamp, who is 2 more hours south of Valley, in Montgomery,... thanks Ray.

The winds were between nothing and 10 mph, so I did a lot of fighting with the kite, but once I got in the zone, I had a few good runs back and forth. I wanted to try a few more camera angles, and more editing than with my previous vids, so hopefully it paid off.

You'll probably see that the mount on the buggy was not quite as tight as it should've been (bouncy and all), but the footage is still decent.

Enjoy:

Thanks guys.

I would love to go back there when there's some bigger wind, but unfortunately, my work schedule has changed & Saturdays are the only days I'd be able to get there,... and that's the day they have set aside for RC pilots.

Propellers and ripstop don't seem like they would be good friends

In case you want to see, here's an over head:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en

Most of my runs were back and forth in a North East/ South West tack up in the northwestern section.
