I would actually be surprised if you see any of those.
The VAST majority of people who are kitesurfing are using inflatable kites. The foil users are the minority. This has changed somewhat in the last 4
years, but still, if you go to a major kitesurfing location, you will not see very many foils out on the water...

I was thinking more along the lines of seeing many high end kites. foils would be better for lower wind.

Not arguing that.
People ride what they are comfortable with. There is a growing number of riders who have realized that large foils work well for low end situations.
However, there are still folks who will not touch them just because of "rumors" or stories they have heard. Some folks just are not willing to give
things a shot.
It will be interesting to see what people are riding.

A year ago I was seeing quite a few flysurfers I the racing news. This year so far I've mostly seen lei's especially the north Dyno line which is
there light weight race kite. I think it will mostly depend on what's available each year in terms of new technology. IMHO LEI kites have made some
major improvements this year and I really enjoy my new 2012 rebe 13m. Until recently I didn't feel anything compared to my speed3 12m now I'm not so
sure. I'm happy flying either kite but when in big ocean waves I'm reaching for my rebel. If I was racing I might have a advantage with the high
aspect ratio of the speed but I might survive the starting line scrum with a ridged airframe in close quarter flying. Something to think about.
