Need big kite, she says no I say YES!!
Ok, i didn't say that to her face, but what I am trying to figure out is how to get a big kite for the water without "waisting money" so she says..
The winds around here have been a beautiful, hot 10-15mph.. I have a Venom 13 and a 150 board but dint think thats going to do it for these winds and
me being 210lbs. So I am working on posting some sailing equipment on craigslist for a little "toy" cash.. Is any one here in need of sails of
different sizes for projects and have an old arc or Inflatable they would part with? I also have an older MBS board to throw in on a trade. I have
decided that the board is not a good idea for me.. I'm not real picky on the kite as long as its a good beginner rig and will get me going in low
winds.. I'm located in Brookings SD so if there are any MN guys interested I would meet half way. Then we save on shipping.. Thanks..

I'm in Colorado, I have a 15mtr Pl Bomba in new condition, it has your name all over it and I'll take your board in trade. In the winds you have the
Bomba will rock you, easy launch and land and very user friendly with plenty of power.

What line length are you flying with your V2-13 ?
If 27m or shorter, consider adding 6 or 7m extensions to your lines and your V2-13 will work like a 16 (well almost) and it is way cheaper than buying
another kite
Foils: Phantom2 15, Aurora 19 custom, F-1200, S-840, JN Luis 10, JN Randas 8
Inflados: Ocean Rodeo: Flite 17.5m, Rise LW15m, Razor 12m and 10m, Prodigy 7m
Boards: Mako Duke, Mako King, 6'6" Bushman shortned to 5'8"
Land 'n snow: "Tsar" RC2000 Nobile, 150 SantaCruz TT with IceBlade, 159 Mongoose Grand Slalom

mdpmink, My kite is a Venom 1 so not sure if that makes a difference. Right off the top of my head I want to say my lines are somewhere around the 25m
(80 some foot?). If the winds around here were steady I might be able to squeeze out some more power with my 13 and longer lines but I think I would
struggle.. Great advice to keep in my head for good use anyways.. Thanks..

eggy,
The Bomba is a gentle giant in light winds below 10mph, above that it will give you all you want depending on how aggressively you fly it.At 155#s I
can hover with this kite in anything above 15mph with the bar all the way out. Pull the bar in and up and away you go.Perfect kite to advance your atb
skills or starting on water or snowkiting.

I know it's probably pretty impractical, but have you thought about building one? It might cost less if you get it right the first time. Plus you
could try and get her into it a little bit?

It's probably much harder than I'm imagining, but it's a thought.

eggy, here's a big kite with your name on it ... Scorpion 16
I bought this from Adam Bedinghaus (flyjump) for $350, RTF with bag and new spars. Great shape ... no repairs, all zips work great, bag in great
shape. Give flyjump a shout, he can vouch for this kite.
I am keeping the PL 07 bar and lines which I put at about $125 ... so you could get this kite for $225 KO. There is bars out there ... last time I
talked to flyjump, he had one .... I think lad has one ... Philip (PBC) has one
... the belly
.... the top
.... the bag
- some kites
- NAPKA KC97 - BMK Frankenbuggy
- Hand me down snowboard gear from my kid
- wife burned wallet ... LOL

I have a 55cm bar for an arc that I can let go as well. Bar doesn't seem to be an issue!

Both of my bars are claimed. Bar #2 is headed to Kansas. Bar #1 might be going to Canada, but failing that it will follow its brother to Kansas.

Thanks Bear, but i think the smallest I would go is a 19m and for the winds around here right now I would have to work a 19 pretty hard. I have even
considerer bigger!! First I need to dump some sailing equipment first to free up some $$$$.. Thanks again..
