I had two of those Pacu in my fishtank. They were the size of dimes when I bought em. They were as big as dinner plates when I got rid em. The two of
em would demolish a head of lettuce in a few seconds. They are cousins to piranha... :evil:

Some show on Animal Planet had guys looking for piranhas in a northern state based on fisherman reports. I'll bet it was those nut busters that were
being caught. If those things eat zebra mussells they are going to do well!

i have had a few of these . silver dollar size that grow in dinner plate size. did well with cichlids. they do look piranha -like . piranha AND
this sp. really don't like the cold water and will not survive, not sure of the temp gradient for that area, seems a bit cold for thrive conditions.

had a few pacus... they outgrew my 55, so i gave them to a buddy that had some 375gal tanks.... last i knew they were still kicking!
that dude had some cool fish! I loved his snakehead and pirahnna .... scary a$$ fish! they'd "hunt" you as you walked through the outbuilding

We just had to drain a small lake to get rid of the Snakefish somebody must have dumped in there. Mant species suffered so that these fish could be
caught. They can travel OVER LAND !

large Great White Sharks.
