2012 Peter Lynn Fury 9m
Got my new quiver of Peter Lynn Fury's this past Tuesday and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this gear! Out of the box the first thing i
looked at was the bar and man is it nice, sturdy lines, nice swivel and a very nice and simple safety system. Kite looks great on the beach and the
adjustability of the bar pressure is very quick and easy to switch (set it at max). A little preface this is the first non-C kite tube that I've
owned, but I found that the kite unhooked nicely with a good amount of slack in the lines. Pop, man does this kite have pop, I imagined the kite
would have a tendency to run forward in the window while unhooked but it stayed right in place waiting for input.
Relaunch? Not even an issue with this kite, the Fury is ready to go when you are!
The jumping ability of the Fury is much better than any kite I've flown, throw in a loop at the top of your jump and it'll take you for a magic carpet
ride.
I picked up a 13m as well for lighter winds and I'm anxious to see how it flies, check back soon for a review.
Winds were 20+knots

What is the bar pressure like on the 9 and 13. I found it really light on the 15. I have heard the kite sizes are really different kites each
tailored to the wind speed they will be used in.

@AD I've got both kites set on the rear pig tail of the kite (lowest bar pressure) and on the rear lines I've adjusted it to the highest knot on rear
leaders. Still fiddling with setups but this gives me a medium bar pressure and has been working well.

How is the 13M? How is the grunt vs. backstall. It is a high aspect kite so there has to be some backstall.

NATE on the 11m both fury and escape set on middle knots. i would have wanted a fraction more bar pressure. i think for better action feedback start
out heavy and dial it back if want less. the light bar pressure is a little vague at first, but all very minor.
a point i do recall is i thought the bar size should have been smaller. the bar size we had with these units just seemed too big. very fast units no
doubt a smaller bar would matched better, the big bar just made it very sensitive. def would want the small bar on a 9 with closest knots to the
kite.
July has been FULL ON here. 20+ days in row finally.

@AD haven't had any backstall problems with either the 9 or the 13, I also expected to see some backstall but the kites have handled great unhooked.

Phree, did you try setting the knots on the bar to the inside. Maybe you already knew about it. But if not you can adjust the bar size by removing
your lines at the bar and putting them on the inside knot.

hey Brian, i am aware of the navi bar adjustments. may have been a large bar for the kite? i only had few laps with it and was marginal air for
the 11m for me.
i need to hook up with Nate and get some proper time on them.
